Sharky's Restaurant and Beach Club
Featuring the world's largest Tiki hut, this popular restaurant has been serving delicious, fresh Gulf Coast seafood since 1987 and also offers hand cut steaks and oysters on the menu. Dining on the deck is available and a children's playground is on site. They are open daily for lunch and dinner and live music and entertainment are provided.
i suggest ordering a cheeseburger and fries and sitting by the water. the beer is cold and the service is friendly. the portions are generous and the chatter is lively. you get to hear the waves and stick to a sensible budget. i'll go back.
What is there not to like about Sharky's? Beautiful location, great drinks (try the Shark Attack), wonderful service(Tom, Matt, and Lane were the best), live music, and a great meal. They also added a great play area for the kids where you can watch them play right from your table. If you are in town on vacation, this is a must.
This restaurant has a good atmosphere (we ate outside on the deck) and has a play area just off the deck for children to play on the beach. The food was OK, but a little bit high for the quality. Service was good and they do have live entertainment (it was karoake the night we were there). We would probably eat here again.
Sharkys bar, the view is incredible, the ambience is very nice to take a girlfriend for a drink and watch the sunset from a quaint beach bar. Now the bad points, the food was not very good, was very average and overpriced. My girlfriend had the fish kabobs and they were burned on one side and gooey. My fried shrimp was nothing to write home about. Overall I wouldn't go there to eat unless it was appetizers, there are better restuaraunts in PC. The staff was extremely nice especially our server. I would go there again for the bar and the sunset but not the food, unless they had some severe change in it. They have great T-shirts though, :)
I ate here because it was on the beach side. The bartender (Hugh) was very attentive. That's about where the good dining experience ended!
The place is old and dirty! But on to the food!
I ordered the broiled grouper. There must be a minimum size to keep these things and this one was underage! About a 1/4" thick, burned to the scalding aluminum plate it was served on so thoroughly that I had to scrape it off to get any meat at all. It was accompanied by a burned yet soggy squash medley. Hard to accomplish! Price to value = mediocre. $24.95 with 2 drinks. There are better places to go - many of them!
My husband and I had a great time at Sharky's on Panama Beach. The atmosphere is very beach casual. The seafood was tasty and a lot, served quickly and efficiently, and hot (it was September and getting cooler) in an open air dining environment. The drinks cold, and our coffee was superb. Service was friendly and fun, once we got past the old dinosaur in the front. The building itself is vintage Florida, rustic and reminding what Florida was like 30 years ago. There is a lot of new construction going on - a new resort - so we were happy to end our trip to Panama City Beach with a good memory.
We were seated in the outdoor dining area next to the bar. Karaoke night...thinking this will be fun. Wrong. Most of the singers were children ranging from about 4 yrs old up to maybe 12 yrs old and most you could not hear at all. A family was there with alot of small kids running all over the place out of control. Nothing worse than hearing squealing kids while you are paying high prices to enjoy the evening. We were there late and still KIDS everywhere. Overpriced and food was horrible. Service was terrible. Had to request silverware twice and napkins. No offer was made to refill our drinks. Will not have any need to return there.
the view of the beach while you are dining is gorgeous ,but the food was revolting. the server was very sweet and always kept our tea glasses full. the live band that was there the night that we visited added a nice atmosphere ,however, the beach, the band, and the service was not enough to compensate for the very gross food. my husband and i will never eat there again.
sharky's is an overpriced seafood restaurant with a great view/location but poor service and bad food. we ordered the seafood platter, which wasn't good at all and had to plead with our server to send it back. Don't waste your time at Sharky's....there are plenty of other places where you will have a much better experience.
