Buffalo Creek Golf Course, Palmetto

Unkept like they don't know how to water, fertilize, mow or run a nice golf course. Great if you like 5-6 hour rounds with no rangers or little care. They appear to care but after playing it's clear they don't know and don't care!

The course is okay, but the customer service stinks. It seems the employees must hate their jobs...maybe Manatee County is a crappy employer. Good luck getting a tee time unless you literally drive to the course, which is in the middle of nowhere. My latest experience involved calling several times with no answer, then I finally got in to an automated system. I requested option '3' to make a tee time, but wouldn't you know it - NO ANSWER. So, I enter '0' for anyone, after several rings and no answer again, the system said "no one is available to take your call, disconnecting" and hung up on me. I wouldn't recommend dealing with this course unless you've exhausted every, and I mean every alternative.

After reading several negative reviews about the staff I was pleasantly suprised how friendly and helpful they were, from reception to grounds crew. As for the course it was in good shape considering the very dry conditions. Bravo to Buffalo Creek staff !!!

One of the more wide open courses in Manatee County. I think the begginner and average golfer would enjoy this course, maybe to easy for a golfer who shoots around par. Just a good all around course and has some challenging holes too.

So far we've played more than a half a dozen courses in the area and thia ones been the best. Great staff and the course was in really great shape. I would recommend it to all golfers

An open course but still a challenge for the aveage golf fan...very friendly.Greens were faster than other public courses in the area and they have a nice sknack area.

For the money this place is where to go. I live close by and play there every week. Yes as others have said the staff is a little abrubt and rude at times. I fix this problem by being rude back. Once you do that they will no longer be rude to you. Besides its not like they cuz you out, its just they are old grumpy people. The course is very well maintained and always in great condition. I would strongly suggest giving this course a try. The price for a round of golf sure out ways the grumpy people in the club house.

I've played this course dozens of times. Not because the people are nice- in fact, that's probably the worst part about BC. I play because it's usually in pretty good shape and the prices are dirt cheap! The only trouble I have with BC is they seem to be having some financial troubles and I fear the county may have to do something drastic. To remedy the problem, I say they should go out of their way to make you feel welcome- which they don't; pick you up in the parking lot, have towels in the carts, etc. On the positive side, you won't find many course in FL that provide ice cold drinking fountains!!! That's worth a few extra points. Overall, I like BC. It's close by, never crowded in the afternoon, and a nice course to take my boys to play and learn the game.

My name is Mike Hawk. Its a nice course and is reasonably priced. The course is in very good condition, the only negative to this course is the staff. They could be more polite.

For the price it was like WOW. Great scottish links layout that is challenging yet wouldn't overwhelm most people. For the money you won't find a better place.
