Not a great experience...

I was visiting a friend who lives in Miami Beach but was disappointed to find I had to pay a non-resident fee of nearly $150, especially considering my friend is a resident. I also examined my receipt for this round of golf and was surprised to see that the conversion rate of my credit card was not taken into account and an arbitrary rate was used, without my knowledge or authorisation.
It wasnt so much the green fees or the payment method that I was disappointed with, instead it was the overall experience and lack of being made to feel welcome that was surprising. H aving played in the United States before (Missouri and Pennsylvania) where I could not fault the customer service to any degree, in the Crandon Park club shop and on the course itself there was a lack of courtesy and helpfulness that others should be aware of, especially for a course with such a reputation.
