Crandon Park Golf Course, Key Biscayne

the course layout is nice however the maintenance on it is pretty awful, the t's are beat up beyond belief. plus in season rates well over 100 for a municipal golf track is not a good value, go elsewhere in florida. The staff also has "I don't care attitude". It's run by city of miami and it shows. They should take some of the money they collect and maintain the course obviously the money they make is going somewhere else. Also no golf rangers at all on the course so if you play it will take 5 hours easy. It was close to ritz where we stayed but drive off the penisula to some other golf course.

I was visiting a friend who lives in Miami Beach but was disappointed to find I had to pay a non-resident fee of nearly $150, especially considering my friend is a resident. I also examined my receipt for this round of golf and was surprised to see that the conversion rate of my credit card was not taken into account and an arbitrary rate was used, without my knowledge or authorisation. It wasn�t so much the green fees or the payment method that I was disappointed with, instead it was the overall experience and lack of being made to feel welcome that was surprising. H aving played in the United States before (Missouri and Pennsylvania) where I could not fault the customer service to any degree, in the Crandon Park club shop and on the course itself there was a lack of courtesy and helpfulness that others should be aware of, especially for a course with such a reputation.

It is truly the very best golf test. Having played almost every golf course in Florida, Carolinas, Georgia and Texas, this is truly the very best, in my humble opinion.

Simply the most beautifully distinguished golf course i have ever played. Granted, i am only 22 and have a few more golfing experiences to come, but i feel i will be hard pushed to beat Crandon Park. On holiday from the North of Scotland this Summer in Miami i played Crandon with two of my family friends, and having played some of the finest courses in Scotland (Carnoustie and St Andrews) Crandon Park's challenging driving from the first tee to the last is nothing short of nerve wracking. The greens are also kept in the finest of upkeep (too hard for a 15 hcp such as myself) and gaurded by fantastic bunkers, water features and treachorous out of bound areas. A scenic and relaxing experience. The food in the club-house post round was some of the finest i had in the whole of the city. I will be returning in the new year for another crack at Crandon as i feel it offers a great golfing outing and extremely good value for money. 10 out of 10. Andrew form Scotland!!
