Oakwood Plaza, Hollywood

A conglamoration of mostly familiar chain stores arranged in strip mall fashion. There is nothing attractive about the complex and little that is compelling enough to bring one back unless you absolutely thrive on this kind of low grade waste of land (it's mostly parking lots). The area would have made a nice regional park but the almighty buck took precedence.

Worst employee attitudes ever- If they are unhappy with their job, please just quit.I do everything in my power to avoid this Home Depot....you should do the same. Also, do not buy any doors from them- 2 years later our entire frame is rotted out for they sloped the frame in and not out.

I loved Oakwood Plaza and spent countless hours perusing and choosing! Visiting from Berlin, Germany, I found much of what I was looking for at K-Mart and Marshall's and Old Navy. Amazing bargains! The cheeseburger at the diner was delicious and service was prompt. The only thing I didn't manage to do was to ask the handsome American man who was also shopping at K-Mart on December 30 who struck up a brief conversation with me when he heard me talking German to my son - and whose father is from Darmstadt originally, what his name was and if he would be interested in emailing. He did wink at me when we said good-bye, I believe! Or was it just wishful thinking? Looking for my match.
