Florida Dolphin Watch
Take a ride on the Indian River Lagoon, one of the most beautiful and untouched eco-systems in the country, with this tour company. You will experience the beauty of wild dolphins and many other species of wildlife. Tours through Fort Pierce Inlet State Park and the Jack Island Wildlife Preserve are also available.
We have noticed that that Florida dolphin watch has moved from 125 fishermans wharf to The dockside inn wild dolphin resort on south Hutchinson island at 1160 seaway drive fort pierce FL 34949. I suggest you come and stay at the waterfront hotel and go on one of their wild dolphin tours.
What a trip. The boat ride was amazing. The dolphins we seen by the dozen. The captain named Mike was so professional and knowledgeable about the dolphins and their way of life. The boat ride was smooth and relaxing. The weather was beautiful sunny and warm. This was the best thing we did on our spring break. I would recommend this Dolphin Watch Boat Tour to everyone. This is a must see when visiting the Fort Pierce area or even if you have lived here your whole life. Watching the dolphins play, spin and they acted like they knew the boat. Can’t wait till come back in Oct. 2010. Thanks again for showing our family a beautiful day at sea. : )
We took the tour and saw so much wild life. First we saw three dolphins playing and running bait along the back side of a secluded Island. The dolphins were actually throwing the fish in the air and catching it. As we started to leave the area, they followed us out toward the channel and was riding our waves from the boat. We would look over one side and the dolphin would pop up on the other side, like they were messing with us. Then we went in the back area of the mangroves and we saw a huge sting ray swim under the boat. We were in shallow water and the water was very clear. The boat was very comfortable, with very nice couches. Our Captian was very informative on the area and the wildlife. We all learned alot about Dolphins and how they raise thier young, their eating habits, sleep habits and so much more. I would recommend this trip very highly.
This was a really bad experience for all of us, including our Siberian Husky, Nala. First, the anchor was too small to hold the boat in place. We kept drifting into other boats. We couldn't get the boat started fast enough to prevent contact with other boats. It simply did NOT want to start. Second, there was no adequate ladder on the boat. Only "one" step to get on or off the boat. A friend slipped on this "one" step, her leg went into the propeller and she almost lost her leg. Last, when we arrived back to the dock we were greeted by an employee named Mike and his unleashed black poodle dog. His dog was jumping in & out of the boat as we were trying to dock, we feared the worse. As we were leaving the dock, this black poodle and Nala, our "leashed" Siberian Husky, growled at each other. I yelled, "Get" to prevent a fight and Mike jumped all over me saying, "You get, don't you tell MY dog to get. YOU need to get." I guess I should have just let the dogs tear each other up. NOT! He said other things that I just won't repeat. He was VERY, VERY RUDE! Don't waste your time or your money!
Your site was very helpful, we recently moved into the area, freinds and family are coming to visit. With your site we were able to plan a day that was not written in stone, allowing for alternatives. THANK YOU
