Daytona 500
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/15/10
My wife and I travel from Hilton Head, SC each February to attend the Daytona 500 NASCAR race. We always spend the first night of the trip at Fernandina Harbor Marina and then again on the way back home. We always have a great time. We try to arrive early enough in the afternoon to spend some time in the area shops, then we have a great dinner in the waterfront cafe, and finally hit a local night spot or two before calling it a day.

Great spot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/1/09
We have just spent a week here and loved it. I'm not sure about the previous poster but I guess they must have changed their prices because we paid $9.50/ft/week or approximately $1.35/ft/day which compares very well with the other places we have been in Florida. The marina staff are extremely friendly and very helpful and the marina itself is right downtown in the historical section. The only slightly negative point that I would have is that the nearest full sized grocery store is a cab ride away and the bath house is adequate it is dated. Other than that, great restaurants, a small boat store, hardware store, museum, etc are all within minutes by foot. There is a farm market on saturdays, monthly street corner concerts, etc. and if you are a beach type it is a reasonable walk away. There is even a small island directly off the marina that you can dingy over to to look for shark's teeth on the beach at low tide. The marina is still making improvements. Their new fuel dock is finished, and they are starting to redo their bath house/offices.

over priced
By David, 11/19/07
The marina is better than it used to be, But not good enough to charge fifteen dollers a foot. this is more than most other marinas up and down the east coast, marinas with many more ammenities.

Fernandina's new waterfront
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/07
We've cleared customs here many times from the Bahamas and although we anchor out, the newly dredged downtown marina, rebuilt docks and new Helix mooring field look superb. The marina manager Coleman Langshaw is very helpful and Tiger Point Marina off of Eagans Creek did some excellent short-notice work on our boat. Our experience here gets better and better.

Fernandina Harbor Marina
By Troup Nightingale, 5/24/06
Things are changing at the Fernandina Harbor Marina. Boated past here withing the last 2 months and low and behold, they were busy dredging the inside of the docks. Came back through a month later at low tide and I saw water, not mud in the spaces between docks. The inner docks were still atop mud peaks; but I assume that is the last phase. The town is a really neat place to see and would be a shame to not stay here. If you are passing by, you would normally be on the outside dock where there is always plenty of water anyway. NOW, if they would only take reservations!

Marina review
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/8/05
what a waste! Shame on the city for letting this marina go to pot. The town is great...could not be better. However marina facilities, other than the face dock are terrible. suggest you bypass this port on the way into Florida, make your stop at St Augustine instead. happy boating

Fernandina Harbor Marina
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/04
This used to be a real nice marina but the city will not spend any money to dredge the slips inboard of the main gas dock, so at low tide on the south side all the boats are sitting on mud flats. Pretty bad for being the first marina in Florida for those transiting south.
