Regatta Bay Golf & Country Club, Destin

Course was in beautiful condition. Course marshalls/starters were outstanding and gave us a great overview of the course and play. They also stayed up with pace of play. GPS system in carts was the best I have seen. System is mounted by your knees and allowed better view of screen than others I've used. Also, noted the GPS and pin positions were well-calibrated, so we grew to have confidence in yardage. Course is not long, but provided a great deal of challenge due to tee shots. Almost every hole had a hazard to play over and/or a hazard crossing the fairway causing us to have to hit driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 4 iron, 5 iron, etc through the round. I liked that. It made a relatively short course very challenging. The course staff was also excellent. I actually left my nine iron on a tee box. The cart GPS had a feature to report a lost club, which I did. A course marshall delivered my club within 15 minutes of report. I thought that was outstanding. We played 2 other Destin courses, and this was the best.
