Boogie's Water Sports, Destin

NO STARS. My glass bottom boat ride with this company was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. The captain clearly did not know what he was doing. We hit a huge wave and I fell down and got completely soaked. Another little girl had a gash on her head from the fall. Besides that, my phone and camera were toast from the water damage. I asked the girl working the deck if that was normal. She said "Oh, it happens occasionally, but you're fine." I asked the skippy who I should talk to about it afterwords and she told me the captain. I went to the captain who told me I should get in touch with the office manager. Then he asked me my name which I stupidly gave him. I have made countless phone calls to their office and no one has returned them, there are roughly $800 in damages to my personal belongings. I have spoken to a couple of employees who PROMISE that someone will call me back and no one ever has. This company is cheap, they hire people who don't know what the hell they're doing, and they don't care about showing concern or even being apologetic when they've done something wrong. I go to Destin often and have been on many mini cruises with other companies and nothing like this has ever happened before. Something is clearly amiss. Totally unprofessional and uncaring. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY ON THESE CLOWNS.

We love Boogies! We have used this company 2 consecutive years now for things to do on our vacation. Last year we did the glass bottom boat tour and while I do agree with the other review, it is not a see through glass bottom, they did do lots of other things on the upper deck and we still seen dolphins and still had a great time. The crew is very fun, nice and informative about the area! This year we rented a pontoon boat for a 4 hr rental and the cost was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than anyone else in area and again, the employees were very AWESOME!! The boat was nicer than I even expected...it looked practically brand new. There were 10 of us....4 adults and 6 children and we all enjoyed it thoroughly! Everyone agreed that it was the best part of our trip! We will, without a doubt, be visiting Boogies again next year! We are thinking parasailing next time.....

We were in Destin and wanted to go parasailing so we called around a couple places and Boogie's had the best rates. There were six of us so that was kind of a big deal. We went down there and the people were absolutely fantastic. Everybody. The folks in the booth were cheerful, very knowlegeable and informative about what to expect, and the guys on the boat were fantastic. We had four kids with us who were a little fearful but the Boogie's folks put them at ease and we all had a great time! I highly recommend Boogie's and will be going back this year when we're down there again.

I visited Destin on my spring break and did some of the activitied Boogies offers. The dolphin excursion on the waverunner was so much fun and we saw tons of dolphins. We also went parasailing and the crew on the boat were awesome. They told us everything we needed to know and it was a great experience. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We went and rode waverunners and it was a Sunday. We thought we were going to have to wait a long time but, the guys working the waverunners were great. Even though they were really busy they took the time to make sure we were well versed in the operation of the waverunners and knew the riding area well before we left. The guys working the waverunners were so friendly and showed alot of concern for our safety. This is the best place to ride and do alot of other things. Can not wait to come back and we are going to tell all our friends to come here. Thanks Boogies.

the dophin excursion was amazing there were 20 waverunners total and we all got out on time. we saw dophins and soon as we got out lots of them jumping out and swimming in the clear blue water are two tour guides were amazing and helpful. they even took us to a secret rope swing spot that was in the middle of no where and had the kids and even the adults loved this this is well worth the money it was the best experince of are vaction. well recomended.

Loved the parasailing. Fantastic crew. Could not ask for better men to help you. I am scared to death of water, but I went up with my husband, daughter and daughter-in-law. My husband and I went first and it was absolutely the greatest. The guys on the boat explained how things would happen and were very helpful with all the questions I asked. This is one experience you should try. Well worth the $60. Thanks guys.

Was quoted a rate of $163 on the phone for a two-hour rental of a jet-ski for me and my girlfriend - "with the coupon that we have at the counter." When I asked why we were charged $185 for the rental, I was told that "I should have said something" and that they couldn't give me a credit once my card has been rung. I called and spoke to a manager, who informed me he would "give me a good deal the next time I'm in town. Just come up to the booth and ask for Johnny, jog my memory, and we'll give you a good deal. What was your name again?" I couldn't make up the story if I tried. Jet-ski was fun, but the service and staff are absolutely TERRIBLE. I would highly recommend renting elsewhere in the area.

I went parasailing a couple weeks ago, it was great, the crew was nice and was very cautious about making sure we knew what to do and what not to do. They also were very good with the children on the boat. We did leave about 5-10 minutes late, but that wasnt their fault. When people do not get there when they are suppose to, you cant blame the crew for leaving late.
