l'll just go to Joe's next time instead!

We didn't exactly have a stellar experience here. Several little things added up to make our visit there unpleasant. First off, my mom ordered steak well done and had to send it back TWICE because it was too red. "Well done" means very little to no pink, and definitely no red. You'd think they'd get it right upon hearing the words "well done," but nope. Not to mention we had to send it back a second time!
I ordered a seafood platter with shrimp and oysters and such, and I asked our waitress if I could *substitute* scallops for the oysters. She said yes, but when we got the check, she had charged us for the scallops. Now, the last time I checked, when a restaurant substitutes something on a plate for another item, no extra charge is supposed to be added. If we were going to be charged, she shouldn't have told us we could substitute. Also, we hardly ever got refills on our drinks, and the waitress brought one dessert when we ordered two.
I understand that the lack of competence of one waitress does not reflect the restaurant as a whole, but the food wasn't that great, either. Definitely not worth the above sixty bucks it took for the two of us to eat. I'll just stick to Joe's!
