Sun Splash Park, Daytona Beach

It was everything we hoped it would be. We arrived at 9:15 on Saturday and there was still plenty of parking. They have plenty of tables with umbrellas by the water fountains, so you can relax in the shade and watch your children play. There are plenty of water jets coming out of the ground that you don't have to wait to play in the water.The playground was nice and shaded too. Having bathrooms and showers right there came in handy. There are stairs and a ramp to the beach right at the park. The beach was nice and clean without too much traffic.My 2 yr old and 16 yr old can't wait to go back. I will be telling all my friends to check it out!

I understand saftey is an issue at a waterpark, but I think that these lifeguards are taking it a little too far. My boyfriend and I were floating around the "lazy river" and apparently my raft was upside down. Our conversation was interupted by a whistle. The lifeguard actually told me to flip it rightside up. After that I felt like anything I did was breaking a rule. Later on, it started raining. They told everyone in the park to get under shelter. Understandable. But I wish there was more than 50 sq ft to house more than 250 people. Even after the rain stopped and it was a clear sky we were not allowed to leave the shelter, even to go to the lockers together. We are grown people and being treated like we were in elementary school. I think it was really more unsafe being crowded togethrer than it would be outside of the shelter. It was a quite ridiculous. I would recommend it for kids, but not any fun for adults.

I love it because it's right for all ages. The small water park for the little ones is neat and the beach is just a few steps away. The parking lot is small and fills quickly. Need to get there early or have patience to wait. Recommend it.

i love the parking at sunsplash park, bc i dont like driving on the beach and getting sand all over and in my car when i go to the beach for the day, the only bad thing about the park is not enough parking! everytime i go, someone is always fighting over parking spaces the only times i have went when no one is fighting over them is early sundays before 11:30. the park itself, i would overrate it as good for kids they love the fountains of water , but for adults, the place is ALWAYS so crowded there with not many seats for everyone, there is no where to sit while the kids have fun. if you plan on going to the beach , park your vehicle at sunsplash park , parking is excellent and convienent.

It is a great place to go for the day. You can let the kids play in water sprinklers after they play on the beach to wash off the sand. There is tables with umbrellas which gives the adults a place to stay cool and their is restrooms close by.The parking is free. The only bad thing is it is such a great place to go that everyone goes there so it is very crowded.

I was pleasantly suprised when I got to the park. At first when I saw the fountains shooting up - I was dissapointed. I said to my self "This will not entertain the kids for long." I WAS WRONG. We were there from 11:45am until 5:15pm. They had a blast! They have everything there to make it comfortable for parents and kids alike. Pavillion, showering area, restrooms, beach and great fun! Best part - it was free. Nice change from everything else out there. MUST GO!!!!

IT'S A GREAT PLACE YOU HAVE BEACH FRONT ACCESS AS WELL AS CLEAN CHLORINATED WATER TO RINSE OFF IN. THE KIDS THERE WERE GREAT THEY ALL PLAYED VERY WELL TOGETHER.THEY ALSO HAVE 3 PAVILLIONS YOU CAN CALL AND RESERVE WITH GRILLS!!!

I love this park. It has a great view, a small playground, spacious bathrooms, and benches to sit on. We go there sometimes just to sit and eat lunch while watching the ocean waves. It's a good place to watch the fireworks during the summer too. The only caveat is that the city locks the bathrooms in the evenings.

I think this place is awesome the best kids park in Daytona Beach by far!! nothing cost money there and the kids have soo much fun in the water fountains there...additionally there are the beach access points,convient free parking,although not always available in peek season times,I really did enjoy it there very close to boardwalk as wellall the events and activities.overall I would go there again...

This was a favorite of my kids. The playground isn't all that much, but they have the water sprinklers that shoot up from the ground. My kids were entertained until they closed! They loved it and I got some great pictures! They also had a large inflatable waterslide there. I don't know if it's there all the time. It looked fun, but my kids were too small to go on it. I would definetly make this a stop on my vacation.
