I visit daytona most years ,from the UK, for my holidays.and always spend a day at the flee market. The leather stall right at the end is great I always manage to buy something from him.The real lemonade stall is a welcome sit down and thirst quencher....The fruit and veg look and tast fab...and the tumbled nuts... oooh yum!....I was disapointed last year that the man selling the beautiful comforters was not there any more.
There is so much to look at for every tast and pocket..
Comfy shoes and cool clothing are a must.
As for the restrooms , Thay are fine ,but you do feel a little intimerdated by the attendant to leave a tip.
like the other lady i to had a rude racist lady call me white trash, she worked in a wig booth not the ones run by the oriental people they are nice. i reported her to the office and called security on here. we all need to do this to bad people, the fle market people were kind and help full.I use to live in daytona and never miss a week at the flea market for shrimp and fresh veg.
I think they have a great selection of interesting items often not found anywhere but there. I did have an unpleasant experience with one of the lady vendors who sells cosmetics and had a precious little Siamese kitten for sale. I reached out to touch it and she knocked my hand away and said, "I am not running a petting zoo." The "B" word came to mind. You don't need vendors like her!!!!!
THAT BAD ATTENDANT MUST BE GONE CAUSE I USED ALL THE RESTROOMS AND THE ATTENDANTS WERE VERY POLITE AND THE RESTROOMS SPARKLED. THEY ARE ON TOP OF THEIR EMPLOYEES IF YOU ASK ME. I WAS VERY PLEASED. I JUST LOVE THAT MARKET, THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE AT A GREAT PRICE. THIS MARKET IS A MUST SEE.
A little confusing refinding booths--hustle, bustle, lots of bargains. Takes most of the day to get through, but fun trying to find the best buys. Produce was great for future breakfasts. Gives you a bit of a different day--good to go to on a rainy day as most is inside.
You can spend a little or a lot. If you don't like crowds, stay away. Some things I bought were tshirts, a jacket, luggage, moisturizer (prices beat the souvenir shops) Wanted to buy a necklace--but was over my budget.
Going again this year!
I had to use your restrooms at the market and witnessed a bathroom attendant bullying patrons into leaving tips in the optional tip tray. He would block the doorway until the patron would leave a tip. I am a big guy so he stepped aside for me. He told me in a low voice "you can get your ass out". In the future i will be visiting flea markets where you dont have to pay to use their restrooms.
I love to browse around the flea market and check out all of the items for sale here. I only wish they had a better system for traffic flow through the vendors. Sometimes there are so many people that you can't get to the products.
