My wife and I (in our 50s) tried to eat here, but after being seated we simply couldn't take the excessively loud music and we got up and left. We therefore can't comment on the food or the service. However, if you're looking for a place where you can talk to the person across the table from you...look elsewhere.
I would like to say thank you to all the patrons that have come to the Wreck on my watch. I have worked there for the last 2 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I made alot of lifelong friends and learned alot about Daytona. It is a sad thing to see it go! I will trully miss everyone. I would like to say goodbye too a few wonderful people that have become a part of the Wreck: DJ Dave, Paula, John & Ted, Sue and Cliff, Art, Suzanne, Liz, Paula, Stephanie, Nancy, Amber, Nate, Bobby, Stephen, Kurt, Lindsey Cotton, Lindsey Singletary, Hope, Sherry & Dayne, Ann and Jason, Chris L., Felicia, Greg, Daniel, Brian, Michelle, Jay, Ian, Clay, Hunter, Nick, Ronnie, Mikey, Stoner, Dennis, Danielle, Casey, Old School Juicy, Mr. Baker, and the many more wonderful employees that I had working for me but most of all I want to say thank you to Donny for giving me the chance to do what I do. It was great while it lasted and I will miss working with all of you! Donna
The food was good as always but the change they had was some dudes they were playing reggae music and the steel drums, what threw me off was that they sounded like hendricks on the guitar wooo hooo man this place needs stuff like that. I'm tired of the same stuff over and over again. I have not seen these fellas back, and I was fixing to go back, and my girl called and they have not been back since, when will they be back?
The restraunt has a very local atmosphere. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the servers are friendly. If you live in Daytona and you don't eat there, you dont know what your'e missing. It's the perfect place to sit back, have a drink, eat some of the best hot wings, and watch your favorite sport on one of their many tv's. Or if your'e with the family its the perfect place to have a nice sit-down dinner. Or if youre just coming into town, why not check it out? you wont go wrong. strongly recommended.
We visited The Wreck in May after a day on Daytona Beach. We walked right in bathing suits, beach sand, and all. The atmosphere, food, and service were great. Hopping music and unbelievable view of the river from our table. The sunset was beautiful. We will defiantly go back.
The Wreck was a relaxing and wonderful dining experience for myself and my wife. We tried the appetizers and had the shrimp dinners. The food and service was wonderful. The sunset just made the whole evening wonderful. We will go back again. It was a little busy because it was a Friday night but they had a band and the Manager came to our table and our waitress was very attentive to our needs. You must try this restaurant if you are in Daytona.
I was recently there & the service was horrible! The heavy set obese female manager was the rudest person you can encounter.
She has no customer service skills at all. I saw her first hand yelling and screaming at a customer. She did not want to listen to them, yelling get out of my bar & threatening to call the police.
Apparently the customers were not happy because they had been there about 2 hours and did not get their meal, as others around them did not have such a horrible experience.
They were forgetten about, and not acknowledged. What poor service!
I really felt bad for the customer, because no one deserves to be treated like that.
Even better, the couple was on their honeymoon they stated.
I'm sure The Wreck, wrecked their honeymoon.
They deserve alot of compensation, & the obese lady needs to be fired!
We recently ate at the Wreck and the food from their new menu was awesome! The atmosphere is so calming overlooking the water with great sunsets. The service was very good and the Managing staff came to our table and really gave us one on one attention. We will dine there again and you have got to try the Stuffed Portebella Mushroom with Shrimp. It was out of this world!
