Our Lady of Victory Parish, Crestview

The church is undergoing construction so Mass is held in the local high school. They do have Mass in the Parish Hall on Saturday evenings too. The overall atmosphere was beach party casual. The young people serving as ushers at the 11 Mass ( went several times so the same happened each time) were dressed in ratty jeans, sandles, and the girls were wearing hot pants and couldn't even bend over to when handing over the gifts to the priest. I learned the that the Youth Group mostly did the 11am Mass. I wouldn't let any of my teens join a group who shows such disrespect to the Mass and to the service. It appeared that they talked in the back while Mass was going on also. Bad first, second and third impression from the Youth Ministry. Little or no reverence, and frankly it was like the kids were more interested in showing their bodys and fashion than in paying homage to our LORD. I will be looking for another church and youth group. A. E.
