A Flea Market Shopper's Dream
By ,
Red Barn is one of the best flea markets I've ever visited. It's the only one I've visited week after week. Wonderful!

We can't wait to go back!

WOW Mr Foster & Jackie's Northern Apples!‎ - If you're a good ole southerner you know how poor the grade or standards of apples can be here in Forida; Modern varieties of apples today are mass-produced primarily for fresh eating and have few of the traits and characteristics of the old heirloom apples which were highly prized by Southern growers .Long ago, apples were not necessarily grown for fresh eating, but were valued more for cooking, cider and vinegar making. Varieties like Grimes Golden, McIntosh, and Newtown Pippin were much esteemed for the fine "applejack", or for brandy- But Mr Foster in spot 921 towards the rear-2010, has brought in these apples from Indiana that are simply amazing-and can usually get those childhood apples you are craving! Braeburn-- my favorite and it's good to know Mr Foster trucks them in from Indiana himself, make a request. Or ask him for a business card; 260 504 6307

I love red barn!
By ,
It's great, we always had fun & got something good at a great price, love the food too, esp. the sweet potato french fries!!! The only thing I'd suggest to make things more helpful is scooter rentals for the disabled & elderly.

Found this very interesting !
By ,
We recently visited the Market while staying in Madeira Beach. This is about an hours drive away but we were visiting in Venice so it was a good stop by. Some friends has recommended it and now I only wish I had more time. Eveything is clean and new and many food areas. I found this most interesting, it was not as expected - much, much better. The produce was simply wonderful. I will definitely revisit this market on my next trip to Florida.

My view of the Redbarn
By ,
It is what it is. A Flea Market. I have been to the Red Barn off and on all my life. Many of you mentioned management as far as the place going down hill. Everytime I read a thread people all read each others things and almost say the same things. I will agree with everything I read abouth this pile of junk. I do want to add some things for thought. As far as management I do not know who they are now. There used to be an older gentleman named Carl that owned it. He was a very nice person. Who owns it now I have no idea and do not care. We stopped going there about 2 years. From what people are saying about the produce its always been outside and has been. I have eatin food from the Red Barn and lived. Would I ever eat there again? The answer is NEVER. People try to understand its a Flea Market. One more thing look at the location. Its in a city where anything goes Bradenton. Would you expect anything good or sanitary in that city? lol

Rat city--do not eat there
By ,
Rats and roaches running around food areas. Peacocks wondering around the place crapping everywhere. (you are not permitted to touch them.) Food left outside sitting in sun all week. GROSS. As for the other booths, same ole, same ole that is at any fleamarket. Lots and lots of empty booths. I checked and found out the rent is very pricey for a fleamarket, hence so many empty booths. We drove up from Naples and felt we wasted our time and left after less than an hour there. The glory days of this fleamarket are long gone. Don't waste your time going as it appears the health department doesn't waste it's time either going out and checking this place out.

Wow!
By ,
What a neat place to spend some time. Lots of bargains esp. the battery store! They had lots of great deals on flashlights and batteries. When using the bathroom I found that it was clean and well stocked.
