We can't wait to go back!
WOW Mr Foster & Jackie's Northern Apples! -
If you're a good ole southerner you know how poor the grade or standards of apples can be here in Forida; Modern varieties of apples today are mass-produced primarily for fresh eating and have few of the traits and characteristics of the old heirloom apples which were highly prized by Southern growers .Long ago, apples were not necessarily grown for fresh eating, but were valued more for cooking, cider and vinegar making. Varieties like Grimes Golden, McIntosh, and Newtown Pippin were much esteemed for the fine "applejack", or for brandy- But Mr Foster in spot 921 towards the rear-2010, has brought in these apples from Indiana that are simply amazing-and can usually get those childhood apples you are craving! Braeburn-- my favorite and it's good to know Mr Foster trucks them in from Indiana himself, make a request. Or ask him for a business card; 260 504 6307
