New Castle Presbyterian is a very diverse, small Presbyterian congregation located in historic New Castle, Delaware. The church is located within walking distance of Battery Park and the New Castle waterfront. Located within steps of several upscale area restaurants. A dynamic new minister has been installed as of November 2004. Identified main interests of New Castle Presbyterian church are Christian education, community outreach/mission, and the arts.
Sunday School is at 9:45-10:45 in the Christian Education building. Nursery (for children to 4yr old) and "Someplace Else" (for children from 5-9yo.) are offered during the service. Church service runs from 11:00 until 12noon, followed by coffee hour most Sundays. During the summer, Sunday School is on break and Church service runs from 10:00 to 11:00. The church also offers adult and children's choirs, adult and childrens handbell groups, lecture series, retreats, youth group, and Vacation Bible School. The church is also open for Spirit of Christmas and A Day in Old New Castle, community events that welcome the public.
I love the fact that this is a small church and you can easily learn everyone's name. They are warm and welcoming to everyone.
