Fishing the Baltimore Canyon on 9-30-08, we encountered dolphin (mahi) and tilefish enough for a truly memorable trip. Captain Bennett and mate Dan worked constantly to optimize our experience and fish count. You can see the result on the fishlewes.com website under the "fishing news" segment. Sightings of finback and pilot whales and a near capture and release of an estimated 100lb white marlin added to the adventure. A previous negative review from 9-5-08 makes me wonder if they were on the same boat as we. For us, the capain, mate, weather, and fish count were way above average. The other review complained about the running time to the Baltimore Canyon fishing grounds. True, it is a good distance offshore, requiring 3-4 hours one way, but this is not the captain's fault. We recommend this charter to all serios offshore fisherman.

recently went on a fishing trip on the lewistown lady out of lewes delaware and what a complete ripoff it was .. nine of us on the boat at $225 per head for a gillagan;s island tour. we spent 8 hours driving out and back to the baltimore canyon and spent 4 hour trolling for nothing.. The captain was napping while the mate drove the boat and we didnt get one fish. Save your money and go to the store and buy your own seafood.. stay away from these charters they are a complete ripoff

My family an I went to Lewes Delaware in 2006 for vacation an man did we have fun.We went to the Anglers Marina on Anglers rd. an they had just about everything we needed for fun,We went parasailing,watersking,an took a Banana Boat ride all at CUDDY-CUZ Parasailing an Watersports. The 2nd day we went on a chartered fishing boat for strippers. An on the 3rd night we went on a Dolphin Cruise with Cuddy-Cuz an we probably saw 60 Dolphins an my kids loved it. So if anybody is going to the Beach, Vacation in Lewes Delaware. We did an had a great time, an we will be going back in 07. Barry Thomas an Family
