Quassy Amusement Park, Middlebury

It's great on your budget, and close to home. I have 8 grandchildren, ages 1-14. They all enjoy the park. We go as often as we can. On Fridays they have specials like; hot dogs for 50 cent, and cotton candy for just a dollar. I'd recommend Quassy to any family living in or visiting Connecticut.

This is a great place when kids don't like big and scary rides yet. Once they like big rollercoasters and waterslides dont take them here anymore they will just get bored. Maybe if they aren't readyfor scarier rides yet then ok sure take them there! but i would say it is best for kids under 10.

Went today and paid for admission to waterpark only to have my kids wait by the bathrooms for 45 minutes because of the weather. They were never in the water or near the water station and then they were finally asked to leave because it was closing due to weather (thunder and lightning). No refund issued. Per management refunds were only given if the park is closed for the day, which you know isn't going to happen! All that said, half the rides were closed and they were still charging the usual all day price despite the waterpark closing and other rides down.

I've been going to this park since I was a child and now my children are enjoying it too. Reasonable rates, lots of shade trees so you don'e bake in the sun while your kids are enjoying the rides.Nice lake on premises with pedal boats and beach available.A truly historic park (since 1907). Great rides and games and an arcade too. They could use a ferris wheel,but not a big deal. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner...but hey, when you have so many people coming in and out--things can get messy.Compounce and Six Flags waaayyy too expensive for a few hours fun for the kids, Quassy is the best bet all around.

Small park that is used for school field trips. Admission is cheap, but thats because its a cheap place. Rides are very old and run down and the place is dirty. Small kids may enjoy if they have no clue whats going on.

There is still a small park which families can afford and have a great time! New water park is a great addition and there are plenty of rides for us. Not for the teens, but that's OK. There are plenty of amusement parks in region for older kids. No admission fee a lifesaver for parents.
