Serenity
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/09
We no longer live in CT and therefore miss those opportunities to escape to the Shrine grounds. We always experienced a sense of peace, tranquilty and beauty there. It's calming influence can't help but nurture the soul.

Feeling the presence of God
By Rich, 04/21/08
Lourdes in Litchfield Shrine of Our Lady of Lourde, is a very humble place where one can feel the presence of God. With my wife being deceased and my moving to Florida(a stopping place before the cemetery) I truly miss not driving from West Haven to the Shrine mostly every Sunday during the summer months. I believe that anyone who wants to get closer to Our Father, this is the Place to visit.

Most Peaceful Place
By April, 10/01/07
I think this is the most peaceful place in the Connecticut Hills. You do not have to be Catholic to appreciate the serenity. The grounds are lovely and there is a place to have a picnic lunch in addition to the trail of the Stations of the Cross. You will enjoy this as a place of tranquility in the hills.

What an experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/07
It was so peaceful, what a humbling experience and the mass was great! It was The Knights of Columbus in Chicopee Ma; that was I took the trip with and everyone was great.

Find Peace for a day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/07
I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone of any age or any religion. You can feel Peace here no matter how many other visitors there are. You can spend a few minutes or spend a day. There are places to picnic or just spend some time alone in prayer. Or just enjoy the quiet. Masses are great and the music and singing are awesome! The food in Pilgrim Hall is all freshly made, by the many volunteers that run the Shrine. The gift shop is open all year and has many beautiful and religious gifts.

A piece of heaven
By Christina, 03/06/07
Our Lady of Lourdes is a blessing from God- a gift to His children. Experiencing the heavenly-like spiritual atmostphere at Lourdes brings people in closer communion with God. This is where we need to be, where God wants us to be. Lourdes brings people to God and there is no better place to be. We wish with our whole beings to be with God while on earth and and in heaven, our final and true home. Thanks be to God.

MAGNIFICENT
By keron, 03/01/07
Incredible wonderful energy upon driving in to the shrine. What a beautiful piece of property and well cared for. Warm and friendly greeting by the volunteers and the priests. We have decided to make the trip every Sunday 45 minutes to 10:30am mass. In late May to October they have mass outside at the grotto. We have heard many stories of miracles happening within this shrine and I believe this possible after visiting this very heavenly place.

By GLORIA, 04/04/06
Our family love very very much to attain Holy Mass at Lourdes Grotto here in Litchfield. We see a peaceful environments and absolute Holy ground as we feel the presents of the Holy Spirit. We are a regular visitors in this Shrine especially during warm weather. We spent few hours there on sundays and have a picnic with the whole family after the Holy Mass.I would highly recommend to the faithful to visit Lourdes Grotto. Its a beautiful place to hang on.So far we didn't see any discrepancy in that place.

A spiritual oasis
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/05
Lourdes is removed from a busy distracting world and enveloped in peace. It is unpretentious. Anyone can feel welcome. It's an opportunity to visit with Our Lady and listen to her soft gentle voice within your soul.
