Western Hardware Antiques and Variety, Leadville

A quaint old-time hardware store with some nice antiques and lots of affordable kitsch that isn't tourist junk. Salespeople went out of their way to approach us and make friendly conversation beyond just "let me know if you need anything" even though the store was busy the day we were there. We bought several small pieces--some antique, some not--and when we got back to Breckinridge where we were staying, one of the non-antiques was not in the shopping bag. I phoned, and they offered immediately to ship a replacement to my home. As we were leaving Breckinridge a couple days later, our hostess found the missing item under the bed! My fault entirely, but Western Hardware had already shipped a duplicate to my home, no questions. Naturally, I sent them a check along with my apologies. I highly recommend this business.
