I still technically belong to Fellowship, and my heart is still there. In both TX and AZ, I've looked for another church like it, and it just doesn't exist. My daughter is back in Gr. Jct. and back at Fellowship, and I'm so grateful she is. We both used to sing in the choir, and all 3 of my kids attended Awanas there when I was in college. Those of you who have the geographical grace to attend, give it your all!! God is definitely at home in this church!!!!
I felt the presence of God the moment I walked through the doors. I was greeted from people who were just like me and then walked into a beautiful building that felt like home. The music was wonderful with a professional sounding band and then on of the pastor's taught a message that sounded like they had been following me around all week. I loved the way that they presented the bible message. This place is real. I'm home.
I sensed the presence of God from the first time I stepped out of my car and walked up to the front doors. I was greeted by people just like me who seemed to be there to experience God and not just religion. I started making changes in my life for the better with the help of the relavent bible teaching from the Teaching Pastors. The music and creative way they program each service is something you will talk about all week. When visiting the Western Slope of Colorado, this is a must visit place.
HOOPER LET US DOWN..Looking for new church
I have been going for 17 years, and a big part of a church is the Pastor and it was, but now Hooper is rarely there and and now I find he has moved to Denver...shouldn't a Pastor live and work in amongst his people. I am so disappointed that he rarely does the services and it has just lost its zip and appeal. I feel he is "grooming his son" to take it over. The Pastro is what caught us many years ago. It is very sad to me.
Fellowship Church does a great job of getting people in the door, but I find that many of their themes and services just seem to be copies of stuff I've seen other churches do. I feel that they lack genuine creativity. The teachings are mediocre life applicable tips, but are not deep. Also, I've heard about a number of moral failures from the leadership of the church, as well as stories from folks who said that they did not feel welcome if they weren't giving the church a certain amount of money. This church seems to consider itself seeker friendly - and it is to a certain extent. This church could be a great place, but I would say to anyone thinking about attending there to be cautious and pray for discernment in deciding if this is the place for you.
The worship at Fellowship is awesome. It is themed with the Pastor's text and flows beautifully in an uplifting experience. I am a little biased, our son is one of the Creative Arts Pastors and leads worship. He is well trained in the school of the spirit as well as academically. The place to grow spiritually if you live in that area, and if you need connected to a people who love Jesus.
One of the best highlights when visiting Grand Junction

I never knew that Church could be like this. The music was inviting, upliftind and encouraging. The messag was creativly presented and relavent to today's issues. It was like the Pastor had been doing life with me and not just telling me how to do life. If you are ever in Grand Junction, Colorado then attending a Service at Fellowship Church will be the highlight of your trip!
