Family owned business and everyone worked together as a well oiled team that has been doing this for years. I purchased a used boat from these guys that had just arrived and wasnt prepped for sell yet. However once I said yes they went to work on my new used boat fixed all the minor repairs that we discussed would be fixed and buffed and cleaned the boat making it look new again. Then we met at their local lake and tested the boat everything was done and completed as promised and I was on my way home as scheduled. My thanks to a dealership that really cares even after the sale.
I purchased a boat in June from these people. Felt a little strange how disorganized they were and nobody seemed comfortable dealing with us. When we got home, the second day we were using the boat the engine overheated and burnt a piston. At first we thought it was our own fault but when having a new engine and steering installed by a Mercury certified technician we found a paper towel stuffed into the engine overtemp alarm in the dash so as to silence it. That explains to me why everyone at the dealership was so evasive. My question is, if they didn't stuff that towel in there why didn't they test the alarms to make sure they worked? And if they did stuff that towel in there why? All it would have taken to fix the cooling problem was a $50 dollar part which I would gladly have paid for if told about it. Now the repair cost me $4500. I can't begin to explain how angry I am. Buyer beware - these guys were either careless or deliberate, and I suffered as a result!
weve been dealing with mattas for years. my father bought a datsun automobile from these guys father back in the early seventies when i was just a kid.
I purchased my first boat a 1995 maxum 1900SR since then ive traded up to Chaparral 220SSI love both boats. These guys have done all of my sevice and havent misseda thing.
Iam now thinking of buying a Lance camper and wouldnt shop anywhere else. When you find a dealer like this why change
Last year, at the end of july, I left my lance camper for warranty service for repair of a leaky toilet and new hinges for the freezer inside the refrigerator. This work was not completed until the end of september! When I went to pick up my camper I found the formerly spotless bathroon covered with greasy hand and foot prints and the camper had been parked in mud and the trailer jack bases had rusted. I have also ordered parts from Mattas and they never contacted me - this has happened more than once. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
