The best part of our vacation!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/09
We loved the rafting trips we took while on vacation in Estes Park. Yes I said tripS! We had booked the all day trip on the Colorado before we arrived and even though you have to get up early and drive 2 1/2 hours to get to the water it is all well worth it. The drive was beautiful up Trail Ridge Road which took you to the top of the mountains above the treelines. We had Derek as our guide and he was just great!!!! Very funny, entertaining and a just all around great guy! We went on Sunday and the their were 5 boats in our trip with around 20-25 people total. We had a few good rapids which were fun but we got to know our guide and the couple our family of 4 was put in a raft with. We had water fights with the other boats, did the rodeo and also saw real dinosaur tracks. They provided a great sandwich lunch which was included in the price of the trip. We loved the 1st trip so much we booked another trip (the shorter, more rapids trip) later in the week. We loved the excitement of this trip also but it was quite short. We had a really nice guide also but not really enough time to get to know anyone on this trip. We enjoyed both trips and felt like the money was well spent but the longer trip was definetly our favorite. Thanks - we will definetly tell everyone how great you guys are!!

Outstanding

Great fun...will definitely go rafting again with RTR. Great group of people and a greate guide on our raft. Highly recommended... We went in June and the river was flowing fast. They also took pictures of us on the raft going down the river. We were unaware of this and purchase the pictures at their office later...lets just say great memories for life..

A SUPER TIME
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/07
We had a great experience for our first time rafting. I've done canoe trips-but this was a BLAST. We had a great guide, very helpful and funny!! We did have fun getting the other boats wet and having water fights. You'll definately get soaked. You are required to paddle, and you will work hard, but it's so fun and the scenery is just outstanding. We had a chance to get out of our boat and "swim" downstream a bit..that was great! You didn't have to do that if you didn't want to. I think this is a must do if you are adventurous and like to try new, exciting things!! Great photos are taken of you while your rafting, so don't bring your camera!

We had a riot!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/07
This is the only company that will take you to the river so you don't have to try to figure out where to go. We went in June when the water was moving really good. We had so much fun we called them and took their full day trip too. This isn't like what you see in the movies - anyone can do it.

Wet-n-Wild!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/06
Had a great time on the half day trip. First time for our kids and they had a blast. If you want to be lazy on the river, this isn't for you! Sabotage water fights with the other boats and trying to navigate down the river kept us busy! The water was a bit low, would recommend going in June or early July for best water, but the guides made sure we had a great time. You will get wet!

What a blast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
First time white water rafting. I know a lot depends on the weather, river level, the group in your raft, and your guide, but we had a blast. Steve, a special ed teacher during the non-summer, had no problems with our group (that's good :-). The weather was perfect, sunny and warm. The river was low so Steve couldn't fit us down certain paths, but we had a great time bouncing off of rocks and spinning around in river whirl pools. It was mostly Class 2 rapids. We may have seen a momentary Class 3. We had a big group (10 or better) so we got a discount. The afternoon cost $44 a head, but it really was fun. A must do.

my trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/04
I went white water rafting summer of 2004. I went with my church youth group and we had a blast. The guides are great too. You have to wear safety equipment so you can prevent injuries. No one fell out on my trip though!
