Blue Sage Spa, Breckenridge

Some may call me spoiled when they hear about the numerous spa packages I've experienced during my short lifetime, and that's ok. But let me tell you - the Blue Sage Spa blows any spa right out of the water! My friend and I left the kids with the husbands and treated ourselves to the "Afternoon Delight." This title doesn't even begin to explain what a great experience this spa package is. The staff at the BSS were kind, not pretentious, and extremely knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy, and the view of the mountains from the massage room was spectacular. Most importantly, the services themselves were incredible! I had the tangerine body scrub, which entails laying on a hydrotub while the therapist brushes your skin with a soft brush to wipe away the dead skin cells. She then applies a tangerine scrub, closes the hydrotub so that only your head is exposed, and steams you for 20 minutes while you get a neck and scalp massage. Once the steaming is done, you are then showered with warm water from within the hydrotub, rinising away all of the scrub. The massage was hands-down the best massage I've ever had (and I've had a lot!) - getting at hip muscles, neck and throat muscles...places therapists typically don't bother with massaging. Move on to the facial where it's customized to your skin; mine happened to be with chocolate...yes, good enough to eat! In addition to all of those services, I also added on a pedicure, which included a paraffin treatment. Totally relaxing, fume free since there is only one chair in the area for this service, and a truly wonderful experience. I would highly recommend anyone who loves to be pampered and receive high-quality spa treatments to visit this spa the next time in the Breckenridge area. You can bet I'll be back there on our next visit!
