Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Formerly known as Marine World, this is a combination wildlife park, oceanarium, and theme park. Some of its most popular attractions include a killer whale show, water rides and roller coasters, an animal nursery, a family of elephants, and roaming cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny and Batman. Bring the kids to take in a sea lion show after you get splashed by Shouka, the resident 4000-pound killer whale, or check out the thrill ride Vertical Velocity. The park is located a short 30-minute drive north of San Francisco. Hours vary seasonally, so be sure to check their website.
To the parents with complaints:
Are you kidding me? I am sure that most Californians know that the state is over crowded and is only going to get worse.
I bet that if you took your kids camping and spent time with them out in the wilderness, they would have a better time and get more out of it then taking them to a place that only creates frustration for everyone in the family.
We all need to go back to the old school ways and go camping and spend quality time together and create our own family fun.
Believe me your kids will treasure that in their heart and pass it on to their kids more than a so called Fun Park.
It was a friendly atmosphere and very genourous I love six flags along with my family and we will be coming back! Its a Great place for Birthday Partys buisnes meetings and such and for anyone who disagrees should give six fags a 2nd chance!
this place is way overpriced! you spend over half the day waiting in lines, in actuality you probly only experiance a couple hours of actual entertainment- there's lots fo fun things to do as far as attractions, but unless you come on a weekday when its possibly less crowded, its not worth the time or money..unless your filthy rich and have all the time in the world...
I go here every year and I enjoy it very much. I love the shows and rides. Its a theme park and zoo in one so its pretty much you get what you pay for. The only bad thing is parking and its pack during the weekends. But other than that it is alright.
i loved marine world soooooo much and i love that old guy. thank you for being so kind and helpfull. the only thing i would change is when you first walk in your not welcomed in and you feeel so like you spent your money on jerks but then it makes up for a awsome park. thanks and i will be coming back on april12 2007 thank you again
