From Carson Street access, the one and only steet to access from, to parking, to the layout design itself, Long Beach Towne Center is the worst shopping, dining, and enterainment (Edwards Theaters) experience there is. This is a case of poor planning by the City of Long Beach and even poorer plainning, developement and design by Vestar, the real estate services company that develops, owns, redevelops, and aquires retail centers.
My wife and I HATE this place. Not for its stores but for its design. I f you want to walk around the place you need to drive around to each store. The parking lot is designed horribly. The position of the stores is very lame. I hate going to this place but its so close to my house.
Is coming to long beach town center-Its suppose to open the 28th of April and Im looking forward to shopping there. Its my favorite store for high end fashion denim to Skate and snowboarding supplys. I use to drive to the Irvine location to shop-I drive that far because of the customer service I recieve at active-Its a family oriented atmosphere.
This center has it all, entertainment, plenty of dining options and even more shopping choices. First off, the Edwards Cinema has 26 screens, all stadium seating, and is squeeky clean. The dining choices range from fast food to full service restaurants . The shopping choices range from big box to specialty retail.(In and Out, Lucilles BBQ, Panda Express, Starbucks, WetzelsPretzels,Helen Grace, TGI Fridays, El Torito, Barnes and Noble , Pier 1, Old Navy, Tillies, The Atheletes Foot, Big Dogs, Bath and Bodyworks, Wal mart, Sams Club, Linens and Things, Carters factory store, and Anchor Blue are just a few examples. I have always been able to find parking at this center and usually within easy walking distance to the store I want to visit. Sometimes, like during the peak movie times, or of course like during the premiere of a blockbuster movie , parking can become challenging. The more you use this mall and get to know it,(like the locations of your favorite stores and the peak movie times) , its a breeze to get all your shopping done quickly. In fact, I find it easier to locate parking here because you can park right up to the store, than if you were going to an enclosed mall. This mall is nicely landscaped, and the center has an ubelievably fantastic fountain and other water elements. Soon, a Pacific Sunwear and Ken Cranes Entertainment center will open their doors.
