Disney's California Adventure, Anaheim

I LOVE THE WHOLE PARK! There's nothing to dislike about it! It is a MUST SEE!!!

Despite a few clever attractions such as California Screamin', Soaring California, Hollywood Tower of Terror, and Grizzly Peak, the park is lacking the exciting themes, and enchanting feeling that Disneyland offers. But I wouldn't be too worried, Disney has set aside several million dollars in hope to enhance the under developed park. The new features include a whole new land (Cars Land), which will offer new note worthy rides, also the whole park will receive a much needed face lift to add character. The "face lift" will enhance the pier by California adventures, several of the rides lacking in theme, an all new entry (an old fashioned Hollywood theme, with new shops, etc) , a Little Mirmaid ride, and many other neat little doodads. A majority of the transformation is expected to be done summer of 2012. I have no doubt Disney will put the creativity, heart, and magic that they have put in the original Disneyland next door. The park will surely become a five star in the near future.

I felt like I was in a construction zone. Oh wait... I was in a construction zone. I've been coming here every year with my daughter (for the last 7 years). Now that she's almost 17, I can feel the time that I have left with her to do trips like this, slipping away. Talk about taking the Magic out of the Magic Kingdom. The 'ocean' near the coaster and ferris wheel had been completely drained, and instead of shimmering waters, the guests were treated to a panorama of heavy construction equipment (I'll try to upload pictures). The ferris wheel was surrounded by scaffolding, in preparation of attaching a large Mickey face to the centre of the large wheel. There were plywood walls in many areas for the purpose of limiting the exposure of new development. One bridgeway was closed to the public and covered in green tarps. When I am charged full admission prices, there are certain associated expectations that come with it. I expected the seaside boardwalk atmosphere I paid for. Not today. Not this week. I can appreciate the fact that Disneyland is adding new attractions, which should be available in the Spring of 2010. I just wish I knew about if beforehand. There was nothing about the construction on their website.

I have been DisneyLand's #1 fan asince i was 2, and i wasnt so sure about California Adventure when it opened. I thought it would ruin Disney, but I was waaay wrong. California adventure is great for all ages whether 2 years old or 102. They have incredible rides for all people of all ages,and i love the music they play and how they show what California is all about.

California adventure is a nice park. I think if you have more then one day here in california, definaltly visit it. I have an annual pass, so we go all the time, but if you only have one day, don't bother. Yes, it has some nice rides, but no classics!! Tower of terror, California Screamin, and Soarin over california are the only must-sees, but definatly an all-dayer. Maybe a day visit, and a trip back to see the electrical parade in teh summer, but that's about it. ;)

Do visit Disney's Ca adventure bcuz is lots of fun. They have Soaring Over CA, Tower of Terror, roller coasters, the Aladdin Show, many more rides, and shows. The CA atmosphere is beautiful. I just hoped that the park would stay open longer than 6 or 8pm.

its great if you have a park hopper but i wouldnt pay for a full day just for this park. the scenery is great! all the major california aspects, napa, hollwood, santa cruz...but the park itself needs to be developed a little more.

From the moment it opened, California Adventure has suffered in comparison to its famous sibling, Disneyland. This ill conceived park is often compared to such un-Disney parks as Knotts Berry Farm or Six Flags. Many have commented on the lack-luster theme. Why would someone want to visit a Disney recreation of California when they are already in California? Granted, Disney's California Adventure (DCA for short) isn't as bad as some would have you you believe, but there is no denying that it has tremendous drawbacks in charm, attractions, and value for your money. The good news is that Disney seems to have heard all the criticism. Construction walls are starting to go up around the resort, and over the next 5 - 10 years, we'll see this ugly duckling of a park transform into the park it always should have been. Beginning with a new Toy Story themed ride, a Car's Land, and a complete face lift of several lands - Including the entire entrance - DCA promises to keep construction crews plenty busy for years to come, and tourists equally perplexed. So plan your trip accordingly. Check disneyland.com for attraction closure information and sites like micechat.com for reviews and tips from other Disney travelers. There is no doubt that DCA offers attractions that your family will enjoy, as long as you avoid the construction delays and know how and when to hop back over to the classic magic of Disneyland just next door.

disney owned so its cool we go there 3-5 times a year they dont have a lot of room but need more rides all disney parks are great family entertainment if thats what your into

being the avid disney lover i am, when this park opened i said this is not nearly "disney" enough for my liking but, as ive been wandering through the park, revisitng it, ive decided its just disney enough...its an awesome celebration of california and holds fabulous new attractions like monsters inc., grizzly, and soarin' as well as bringin back, my personal favorite, the electric light parade!
