Downtown Disney, Anaheim

From the beginning to the end this restaurant was a major let down. I really thought i was on a hidden camera show and at the end someone was going to come out and say this was all a joke and we will all laugh. Well.....no one came out and told us that.It was real. In a nut shell, the hostess was rude, the waitress was improperly trained and the food was one hour late.....and cold. When i tried to tell this to managment, i was greeted by a blank stare that told me '' I could care less, your a tourist that we will probably never see again''. WOW! DO NOT GO!!

I love this place. I live aprx 7 miles from there. I have 2 little boys a 2 yr old and 8mo old. On Sat. nights I take the 2 yr old there to listen to music and bond. I work a lot so this is the only time we get. He is able to dance to the salsa band or rock out to the acustical quitars or just watch the guy on the violine. We get a $5.00 bag of Kettle corn and just relax. The shops can be over crowded and its easy to get frustrated but you have to realize most of the people are on vacation. The only thing is the people smoking and walking around. Sit down and do it, this isnt the mid west, we like what clean air we can find.

I enjoyed this place. There are alot of Disney related stores and shops! This place had some live performances and kid-friendly things. The only thing I didnt like was that some of the shopping kiosks only accepted cash or Disney dollars, which I didnt have at the time!!

Honestly, the shops were pretty cool to look around in, despite the fact that everything was overpriced. I was willing to let that slide, as I am reasonably familiar with how Disney works. The House of Blues restaurant, on the other hand, was JUNK. Before I tell you how much my bill was I must say that the food was served like carnival food. I was brought a $25 meal in a cardboard box that probably tasted better than the food itself. Also, I had to send back my $14 martini twice because I could taste no vodka in a drink that is 90% vodka. The only good part about the experience was the waitress, she did a very good job. Anyway, the bill for my co-worker and I came to $133 with one appetizer, 2 entrees (if you want to call them that), and a drink a piece. This experience kept me out of downtown Disney the rest of the trip. Much better restaurants are located outside of Disney - Buca di Beppo's was very nice, especially for a chain. Hope this helps.
