ACLO's 2009 Season of Change will include three award-winning Broadway musicals from important turning points in American history including \"Ragtime\" (July 11, 12*, 18, 19*, 24, 25 and 26*),\"Annie\" (August 8, 9*, 15, 16*, 21, 22, 23*) and \"Hair\" (September 12, 13*, 19, 20*, 25, 26, and 27*) all performed at the Kofman Theater . Other 2009 Special performances include \"Broadway's Greatest Moments\" (November 7 and 8*) also at the Kofman Theater and \"Sounds of the Season\" (December 12 and 13*) at The Rhythmix Cultural Center.
Alameda Civic Light Opera is one of the best live theater experiences available in the Bay Area. I have been to 5 different productions and all were as professional as any in San Francisco or Las Vegas. The singing and dancing is inspiring and the sets are well done. The Koffman Auditorium is a charming older theater. The only draw back is the older seats. The cost is very very reasonable for the quality of the shows. Parking is free!
