Southland Greyhound Park, West Memphis

I enjoy going to the buffet on Fridays and Saturdays. The food is good. There are some good live bands but a more variety of music like Jazz, and Blues are missing.

I am a regular at Southland but I am thinking about going elsewhere. I get so tired of people hanging around bumming smokes, begging for money to play on, and criticizing the way I play my machine. I know one woman who is there almost every day all day long just to see what she can get off people while her 6 kids are at home with grandma. You have signs on the machine that indicate that they cannot just sit around but you don't inforce it. I am retired and would like to enjoy my time relaxing and gambling without the pests bugging the crap out of me. I hear complaints all the time. When are you going to clean out the rift raft? The "poker room" is a joke with it's electronic poker, the slot machines have gotta be rigged, and it was the worst service I have ever encountered. The employees are all rude and can't possibly be bothered to even point you in the directions of the filthy urine and vomit covered bathrooms. I feel sorry for the sad looking customers I saw there. Most were filthy, drunk, and had a look in their eyes like they were just about to gamble away the last 10 cents from thier welfare check. I went outside to get away from the stench and thought seeing the dog races up close might cheer me up.... It did until there was a horrific crash. One poor animal came tumbling off the track, dropped five feet to the ground and began running pretrified through the small crowd. Another involved in the same accident sat paralyzed on the track yelping. I saw one the employees pick it up and carry it off the track. I am sure the poor thing's leg was broken. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Went with my mom and didnt make it to the races, but we had a great time on the slot machines plus the food was awesome! Congratulations to Arkansas for a fun venue for the mid south!

when i lose,i dislike, but when i'm winning its great..sounds to me the other person loses alot.man sat.nite i won the washer dryer,now how damn great do u think the place is, i'm proud the owner stayed with it all these years good 4 him & west memphis.

This is the poorest excuse for a casino I have ever seen. 20 minutes away you have 9 world-class operations with fair odds in Tunica. Why anyone would come to this dive I'll never know. Rigged machines by the dozens.

This place has a great variety to offer the family. Check out the poker tables and the great food in the world buffet. We enjoyed the greyhound races. The staff was most helpful with an inviting warm welcome to the newly renovated facility.

We had fun...for a couple of Indiana Nerds. Almost won...but didn't, of course. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We were there in the daytime though...would love to go back for some night-time action!!!
