UNJUSTIFIED ACTIONS!
By Winkie, 07/11/08
I will never go back to this library, one of the worst I have been in, and I have been in many through the states. I got a book out, had to put a deposit at that, later that day found the book at a local book store, bought it and took the library book back within two hours, got my deposit back, and thought okay... that is done! WRONG! a month later I get a notice sent to me that they want their book back and I will be charged for it being overdue! Oh, and this isn't the first time, My daughter had a card there and she was getting books, she would take them back BUT they would continue to send letters and call our home saying the books were overdue! Alright in baseball three strikes your out! I would tell them, we would go there show them the book was returned! Okay, so this was the last straw! I had got a library card the same day I took this book out, because I wanted to see if this is their way of doing business, Well, of course it must be, because the same thing has taken place! So I drove down to the library went in there with the letter I rec'vd and walked to the shelf, took the book off the shelf, it had stamped the date in it I took it out, and on the front someone had wrote really hard so you could tilt the book and read what they wrote, SO, I knew this was the book! (the same one I had), I went up to the desk, asked the girl to talk to whom ever is a head of the library, she him hah's around finally gets on the phone and the head of the library appears a few minutes later...I told her, I will never come back to this library ever...I said this is the book, I took out and paid a deposit for, this is the letter I rec'vd today, she looks at it and says, Well, was that book in the correct place on the shelf? , I said Ma'm...I do not work for you, and I don't appreciate driving clear down here to do your employees job, It is right on the shelf, I should have never got this letter, BUT this isn't the first time, My daughter was getting them, So I got my own card to see if it was just her, and I rec'vd the same treatment! I gave her my card all cut up and I told her...I will never come back here...EVER! So eight hours has passed and now, the head of the library sends me an e-mail that read: Thank you for bringing your issue to my attention. As a result we are working on our procedures to avoid this happening in the future. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. GOOD LUCK TO WHOM EVER GOES TO THIS LIBRARY! S. Crawford

It's not very big
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/06
What I don't like is having to ask for the bathroom key like a four year old. Claim they have had vandalism. Huh? The place is so small you'd be able to hear if someone was breaking stuff up and besides, couldn't you just get the key, vandalize the bathroom and return it? The computers are slow, little privacy but mainly they just need a new larger library...but maybe reading isn't a high priority in Arkansas.

My Favorite Place to go
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/06
The employees are very helpful, expecially in the geneology area - very knowledgable about the authors, the genre of books they lend and are helpful getting books for you. The facilities are clean and easy to maneuver around. A great place to spend some browning time.

MEAN !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/06
YUCK! Bathrooms were gross-like the worst kind of dirty. AND the staff is mean. Don't dare ask any questions, bring children, or expect a smile. They've got a serious problem with loving rules. Lots of rules. Love enforcing rules. And don't ever try to break into the employees conversation-just wait it out-they'll eventually finish and reward you with a surly stare.

Too small to be the main library in Pope County, expected a lot more than what I saw.
