Disappointing.

The best part of the forest and park are the things people can't take credit for, of course, the trees and wildlife. The lake would be pretty if not full of orange plastic fencing, old tires and other debris, not to mention all the fishing line and tackle with which the "expert" fishermen liter it, leaving it to cripple or kill the ducks, geese, and coots who become tangled in it. I've met some very nice people there, those who remember to bring bread and other food for the water fowl (no feed is given to them by the Game and Fish Commission), follow park rules about keeping their dogs on leashes but have seen more who don't believe the rules apply to them, don't leash their dogs at all and encourage their dogs to attack the water fowl, those who take their dogs off the leash and encourage them to attack the water fowl, those who throw stones, etc. at the water fowl, and others who complicate traffic by running, walking their dogs, bicycling, riding ATVs, skateboards, etc. there instead of on the paths and other designated areas. It's also not unusual to find people engaged in various sexual activities inside and outside of their vehicles there and I've seen dead waterfowl left to rot in the water and on land instead of being taken care of by park personnel, so parents beware.
