Landon, the driver, did an excellent job of pointing out places of interest. He made the tour funny and interesting. The Duck Tour is a great way to see Hot Springs on land and water. We would recommend it to others. It was well worth the time and money.
Our tour guide was very informative and funny, he happened to be one of the twin son's of the family who own's the H.S. franchise. Even his young daughter an inspiring duck driver jumped aboard for the trip. My girlfriend and I drove into H.S. for the first time and almost left for Broken Bow, but decided to give it a chance. After the Duck tour we had plenty attractions to go see and because of the Duck Tour we also attended the Alligator Farm and Maxwell Blade's Magic Theater. I would like the thank the Ducks in the Park tour for making our trip fun and we have decided to take the tour in other cities as well. Thank you again!
Always wanted to go on one of these, so did while in H.S. in late March. The driver of the particular ride I went on did not give a good narrative of places we went past. For one thing, you couldn't hear him much of the time, and was only able to catch about half of what he did say. Later that afternoon I was walking in the historical area of town and went past one of the "ducks" getting ready to leave for their tour and heard the driver of that one talking to the psgrs. and was already interacting and I wished that I would have been able to take the tour with him instead of the one that I got stuck with. Then at the end of my tour he had the gall to ask for tips. NO WAY! What should have been a good tour could have been much better-the driver makes the tour, which mine did not. Over priced by about $5.
we rode the duck for the first time, as a first time visitor, it was neat to do once, but 36 bucks for 2 people is high, we added up how many people, they are getting about 600 bucks per trip, times that by how many trips in the day. $$$$, our captain then stood at the end of the trip counting his cash in front of everyone begging for more??? very unclassy. next time we go to hot springs, we will rent a boat or jet skiis of our own and watch the duck come and go. and tour the lake on our own, live and learn.
capt bubba was an excellent duck driver and i recommend the duck for anyone going to hot springs. do the combo!!! you cannot beat the value of doing the wax museum, the duck, and the wine tasting for less than a duck ride alone anywhere else in the country.
I have to disagree with another poster on here. We bought combo tickets for the ducks, Wax museum, and the winery..Which was only 12.00 for all 3..Which is very cheap!
I grew up in Hot Springs and I no longer live there. We went back this last spring (may 07) and enjoyed ourselves. I never rode the ducks in all the years I lived there, so it was really fun for us!
I love the duck, even into my twenties I still enjoy going to ride it. I have been to Hot springs numerous times as a child and still look forward to going back and taking my child, it is an experience everyone should have when visiting this lovely city. Just be careful you will gewt wet on entry into the water ( loads of FUN).
