Kodiak Treks, Kodiak

The lodge was comfortable and clean. Good food and plenty of it. We got to do it all. Saw eagles on their island and when we were out on day trips we also, saw puffin & seals. We were able to view Kodiak bears going about their typical day. Fishing, eating, playing and sleeping. Proximity was great at times we were very close to bear(s). Saw mothers and babies, older BIG bears traveling solo and young males showing off. If that wasn't enough we went fishing for salmon and halibet. I have never tasted fish that delicious. I am not sure if it was because it was so fresh or if it's because they cooked on the beach over an open fire with some great spices. YUM! After a relaxing sauna, we retired to our cozy cabin. Saw sea otter from the cliffs in the morning. It was an amazing time for our family. Kids enjoyed every minute. Thanks, for a special family memory!
