I am not a big fan of going into New Stores or just plan shopping in general... This Young lady helped me with a gift return. She then assisted me with all other purchases and even wrote down how to care for a item I purchased. Now , with Customer service like that..WOW! YES, I will go back and have been back. She is Great in getting you what you NEED not what you don't NEED! In and out fast. Calls when item you wanted has came back into stock...Just over all a Great Sales Clerk. Now , I will call before I go and just ask for her. Alex King. She gets me in and out without all the hassel.

I had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this store to any oneone. It's also in a great community, not too far from a really cool local arts district. Worth the drive.

I went to the store twice to order a left-handed bow for my son. Both times they promised to call me within a week to let me know when it would be in. They never called; either time. I tried to call the store several times. They transfer your call to the department which NEVER answers the phone. This was a complete waste of my time. I finally went to a small sporting goods store whose owner ordered the bow which came in on time and at a good price. Woods and Water is TOO BIG to give individual attention.

prices were too high, employees were rude and not very curtious to shoppers willing to spend their money, they acted like it didn't matter if they got your money or not because they were getting paid no matter what.

Woods & Water has been part of the Tuscaloosa experience for more than 20 years. The original store in Northport was eventually outgrown and the Summit Ridge store constructed in the last several years. The newer store is kind of a "mini-Cabelas", complete with a quite extensive collection of mounted game animals and a large freshwater aquarium. The firearms selection is excellent, and if one would like to see some extremely fine guns head to the separate gun room where you will find some prize pieces. One of the best times of year to shop is immediately after Christmas, when much of the camo clothing and footwear goes on sale- usually 40% off. This year the day after Christmas the store was absolutely packed with bargain hunters. There are also plenty of items that appeal to the fairer sex if they are not particularly interested in viewing the same things as the guys. If you happen to be in the Tuscaloosa area, the store is definitely worth a visit.
