MY FAVORITE park! BEST ENJOYED ALL YEAR 'ROUND! OH YES, EVERYONE needs to GO!
By Gray S., 11/30/06
This park is something really special in an interesting area! The movie Big Fish was filmed right around the park. I have been going their my entire life and whenever I come back to visit I try to make a trip to Fort Toulouse because it's that enjoyable. Shrubs and flowers can be identified at all different times of the year. BUT, because of budget cuts, funding losses, and problems with management over the past 10 years or so it has, unfortunately, really had problems. They really need donations! The William Bartram Arboretum is a boardwalk which winds through wildflower fields, bogs, and forests from the end of a parking lot area to one of their forts and down to a river overlook (one of many), but now they have had to remove most of the boardwalk because of no money and it used to absolutely amazing and so much fun! Now there is only a slimmed-down version of what used to stand. Despite any funding loss they still stand out as a unique and amazing park. They have so much to do that spans such a large area in an area they is growing massively. The RiverSide Gaming Center is open almost right next door to this park and features a lot of slot machines and other gambling amnities. The park has great camping areas and wonderfully spectacular riding trails. Beautiful views of two rivers meeting and many other wonderful things of nature. I could go on and on, but everyone needs to just visit it and save me the time. It is an A++ park and definitely deserves a look and donation!

A bit of history
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/05
Great place to visit for a history lesson. You will feel submerged in the past as you see the buildings and the grounds of this very well kept park. Take the whole family and enjoy a picnic lunch.
