The par three offers good practice

The Par Three Course - $8.50 per round - This is a Short nine hole course beginning with number 10 and finishing with number 18, hence the BACK 9 name. The longest hole is 98 yards. While this course is short don't let it fool you. It is extremely challenging. The Greens are small and there is water every where. If my memory serves me well, there is water in play on at least 6 of the 9 holes. I dont recall any sand bunkers on the entire course. This course will help the best golfers develop and improve their Lob, Sand and Approach wedge play. Accuracy is a PREMEIUM! For the beginning golfer this is the best place to start. During 2004 a new green keeper was hired and the greens looked better than I have ever seen in the 6 years I have been using the facility. However, the greens are dormant now (03-16-05) and don't appear to be over seeded. This course by now means compares to the Robert Trent Jones Par Three facilities which is outstanding. I might add, by no means does this course have unlimited founding as the Robert Trent Jones Par Three facilities have and a comparison between the two is unfair. I would recommend playing this course to anyone wanting to improve their short game and just for the pure fun and frustration.
The Practice Facility The tee area is over seeded and has a generally quick repair time. The tee area is also deep so rotation of tee areas is usually good. However, I would recommend rotating more often. I have been out there on a few occasions and couldnt find grass to hit off of. There are some greens to hit to at various yards but the landing area is not in the best condition and never has been. They have recently gone up on monthly range fees from $55.00 per month and $1.00 per bucket to $75.00 per month and $2.00 per bucket. This price increase was too steep and has caused a decline in customers. I can no longer afford to join every month. Quite frankly, it is not worth the new fees. I felt like the old fees were good for all. FYI - the largest bucket (100 + or - balls) is $8.50.
