Ice Palace, The, Montgomery

I love the PA music and atmosphere. Disadvantage: The palace can be quite crowded on certain days of the week. I've traveled worldwide and I love popular malls and attractions; Another reason I'm glad to have moved to Montgomery, AL. If you visit the area, the Ice Palace is a must, believe me!

Likes: It is fun to skate in the mall - you can window shop and glide. It is easy to access and you can include some exercise and fun in your shopping day. Dislikes: There are just too many rules for what you are allowed to do, especially when on the ice with little ones. Rental skates are pretty bad and haven't been sharpened for what appears to be a LONG time. It is a bit expensive, but not out of line. The ice surface is about 1/4 the size of a normal ice rink so don't expect to move too fast! If you've never skated, or are a novice, then this is a fun spot. If you are a seasoned skater you may want to pass unless you just want the experience of skating in a mall on a teeny ice surface :-).
