I used to be a regular attender of this movie venue. I am good friends with a gentleman who was a manager but recently moved on to a more lucrative job. I didn't even think of this fact until last night and dare say as a result of his absence, we had a poor evening. As I entered the theatre, the previews were already playing with absolutely no sound. A friend of mine informed a manager and the sound came, but it didn't match up with what was on the screen at all. We were hearing people talking as the screen read "Please silence your cell phones." A friend of mine again informed the manager and the sound was cut off and eventually put back on in the correct timing. As the movie started, the lights stayed on inside the theatre and the screen was never adjusted to fit the movie. Another friend of mine informed the manager and the lights were finally turned down. The quality of the film was pitiful as well. There were lines and dots throughout the movie.
It has been my experience over the past few years that the Hollywood 18 does not receive the latest movies until months after they are released so I'm reading about them and hearing about them on TV and have actually driven to Nashville to see movies that didn't get here until months later. I'm not talking about the artsy films but about the top movies nationally.
Theater is nice, staff is friendly and courteous.
