Upscale?

deLoain New York calls itself an upscale salon and day spa. They claim to possess exceptional and even "award winning" stylists. Well, that is the opinion by some people, but here is my personal, true thought on this beauty parlor in southeast Decatur.
As one enters this modernized antique building she will notice there is no warmth of color anywhere. Everything is gray and white and almost rigid or icy feeling. The stylists are quite prim and proper, and one definitely does not need to entertain the thought of getting to know them because from the second one enters the building until the time she leaves she is rushed from this chair, to that dryer, to that bowl, to that chair, etc.
Each stylist does take into consideration one's own face shape and skin tone, and unlike most modern upscale salons, there are no flat irons, or curling irons. Round brushes and Shaper spray are used to create the finished and most bountiful look. One does no need to come in prepared to get a desired look because that will never happen here. They recommend with absolutely no exceptions to every individual that one should get this base color to soften one's natural base color. Then they insist one gets highlights to brighten the face and lessen the appearance of any fine lines or wrinkles. It does all sound wonderful.
Though, it does not matter if one is red, yellow, black, or white; always the same services, and the same cut will always be recommended. There is no uniqueness to anything that walks out those astounding glass doors. Every single person is practically given a "cookie-cutter" hair color, cut, and style.
The price is not high, but with it's effort to falsely create an image of high class ~ I had much rather go somewhere else.
