Fun activities and great relax spot for family
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/8/11
I loved the park because my husband , kids and I had a great time. We went with family and friends. The food ws high but the staff ws laid back 2 me. They kept everyone from doing what they was not suppose 2 do and safe. So I think I would tell alot of people 2 go there. Plus its not that from my house. I'm taking my kids and my niece back there this Friday..Let U know how it goes.

I paid for onions
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/24/10
I ordered $40 worth of food at the park. I ask for onions on my hotdog. The lady said they have to charge extra for onions. I said that is okay I'll be glad to pay extra. When I got my hotdog there were two tiny slivers of onion. I said excuse me could I get a little more onion, I've paid extra for them. She said if I wanted more I would have to pay more, then she offered me all the packets of ketchup and mustard I wanted free without me even asking. Lets see , let me do the math on this one. Save a penny on another sliver of onion, lose $1.25 on ketchup and mustard plus $137.00 worth of repeat buisness.Thats a total$138.25 lost and a penny gained. I've always heard that pennys add up fast though.

Fun for an hour
By Theron, 7/22/10
Surfside Water Park is a great place if you can look past most of the employee's. The main reason most people have any problems with the facility and staff is because most of them are high school kids. My girlfriend and I had a great time riding the water slides and laying out in the beach area of the park. I must admit that the park was kind of dirty, but hey, it only cost $11 to get in if your a college student.

HATED IT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/08
The small, family-friendly environment would have been nice if it was CLEAN. The bathrooms smelled horrible. The shower stalls were lined with mold and mildew. The wave pool had black spots on the bottom (which I am pretty positive was mold and mildew also) that were SLIMY when I stepped on them. I was SOOOOOOO ready to go. I will NEVER, EVER, go there again. I am so thankful that none of the children in my group had to actually use the restroom. I think the park could be a great place to visit if somebody would get in there with some bleach and a scrub brush. Our party of 8 paid over $120.00 to get in; sad for a place that doesn't care enough about it's customers to clean up. I actually worried about getting sick from the mold in the water for days after I left there. Thank goodness I didn't and no one else did either.

NO THANK YOU
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/08
I never got a chance to visit the park....the conversation I had on the phone with general management regarding tickets was enough to tell me the park is NOT African American friendly...in fact, the person I spoke with hung up before I finished the conversation...if management is that rude, I can only imagine the staff's attitude...NO THANK YOU!

This place is GREAT!!!!!!!
By Cristina, 6/16/08
This place is great for all ages. You have a wave pool, water slides,a lazy river, and there is a section for the little ones. The only thing you have worry about is the weather.

Poor Management
By Alan, 5/29/08
It's no wonder they are about to go under! Over $20 for 4 slides, a lazy river, and a wavepool. We had season passes that included free drinks; by mid-summer, they quit giving the drinks. This year the season pass is $89.99 each! Professional parks such at Whitewater in Atlanta only charge $59.99 for a season pass. Our corporate group tried to take a group of over 200 and they wouldn't allow outside food to be brought in. That's probably more money than they make in a week. Make the drive and go to Atlanta or another park. Staff is very unfriendly and the manager is very rigid.

Fun in the Sun!!
By Tassie, 5/21/08
We really like Surfside. My kids got in FREE becasue of there good grades on there report cards and we went after 3 so it was half price for the adults!! What I really liked is I didn't have to worry about keeping up with all of the kids that went! It is small and we could watch everything! There were no big lines or huge crowds. It was easy to find too!!! We went a couple of times and took the church group one time. We will be going again!!!
