Great Place
What a great stop. Mary Todd lived here as a girl and later brought her husband and childeren. The house is wonderfully restored, and the tour guides do an amazing job. They are so well informed and even-handed in their history. As a historian, I know a lot about the Lincolns, and I was unable to stump the tour guide at all! The house is full of pieces belonging to the Todd family and Abraham and Mary. The tour covers the entire house and Mary's life with all its intrigue and tragedy. It is 9 dollars for adults, the tours start on the hour, and it takes about an hour to go through the house. Worth the time and money!
