Natasha's Cafe, Lexington

We chose to eat at Natasha's on the first night of our vacation in Lexington - that night that were offering an interactive mystery. Diners arrived in Film Noir costumes. We were a little hesitant about murder/mysteries but the way this was done no one in the audience was uncomfortable. The actors were wonderful. It was a four course fixed menu. We had a coconut and sweet potato stew that was outstanding. I've written them and begged for the recipe. My husband and I generally eat out 4/5 times a week for dinner and this is now one of our favorite places. DO NOT MISS THIS FUN AND FLAVORFUL RESTAURANT!

The price was too high for the quality of food. And I did not like it that they added a 'cover charge' to the bill for the music! We were more than half way through our meal, when the server came and told us that lone guitar player was singing soon and they added money to our bill for this. Ridiculous!

My girlfriend and I were down in Lexington recently and spent a very romantic anniversary at Natasha's. We started off with a bottle of wine, which went nicely with the live piano music. She especially liked the warm, romantic glow of their Moroccan lanterns. Referred by a local friend-- I couldn't have been happier with our choice. The food was fantastic-- in preparation and selection-- with a wide array of international dishes available. She had the sweet chili stir-fry and raved about it the rest of the night. I was very happy with my Buffalo burger (and threw in a tasty Greek salad for good measure). We topped of the evening with baklava and some Turkish coffee. We will definitely make the trip down to Lexington again-- if for nothing else than to return to Natasha's to try something else.

Natasha's is a very cool environment downtown. The feel and atmosphere of the place is awesome; more of what you would expect in a big city hip neighborhood. The menu is international and eclectic. The simpler dishes, especially the Russian choices, tend to be better. Overall, though, the food quality and quantity is lacking. Prices, while not ridiculous, are a bit high for the actual meal you receive. As an experience, Natasha's is still quite nice. The coffee and desserts are excellent, and the staff friendly.
