Mild to Wild Rafting and Jeep Trail Tours, Durango

Do not use this company. They wait until you are already there and have done the orientation to inform you that the water levels are low and that your trip needs to be changed. Paid for a 2-day trip and in reality got one day since we rafted for maybe 2 hours the first and 4 the second. Don't bother asking for a refund, they won't give it to you. Just a terrible experience when dealing with the company itself. Guides were good with the exception that they posses no ability to coordinate and plan logistics. Do yourself a favor and take a different company.

Just returned from a "Spice of Salt" river trip with Mild to Wild. I've done the Salt River trip many times and this is a great new option allowing our group to see and experience another part of the canyon on a 1 day trip. It is truly amazing how the canyon becomes even more beautiful the farther you venture in. Another bonus is bigger rapids. As usual, the guides are great and the food is delicious. I can't wait for our next trip with Mild to Wild on the Piedra River in Colorado this summer

I booked a package with Mild to Wild that included the best activities on the area: rafting, jeep tour, Narrow Gauge Railroad ride (1 way) and a guided tour of Mesa Verde. This package and the variety of the experiences was the highlight of our vacation. It was fun, educational and we enjoyed each part of the package. I highly recommend not only this company for their great customer service, but also this "discover" package!

This was our first rafting trip as a family and everyone had a ball! The company took care of everything, gave us good instructions, and our guide was excellent. The river was mostly class I and II, with one class III rapids and the kids loved every bump and splash. We want to commend our guide Kyle, who took us down the lower Animas. Not only was he an excellent guide, steering us adroitly through the obstacles and commanding our crew expertly, but most of all, we appreciated how he interacted with our autistic 12 year old son Sam. Sam was clearly nervous about the trip. Kyle helped calm him and praised his efforts to point out EVERY rock in the river. At the rest stop, he got Sam to wade into the river and became his buddy. As a result, Sam, as well as the rest of us (parents, teenage boy, and twenty-something daughter and boyfriend) had a great time. We are all ready to do it again...intermediate next time! We would recommend this company to all our friends and to anyone wanting a fun day on the river.

very great. took my lil bro on this one and we hit the waters, had a great time, and awesome guide, they took pics, made jokes. great times, made some great friends and it was an awesome environment.

The rafting trip as a whole was fun, but the staff was really unprofessional. They were fighting with each other the whole time, then on the trip back complaining in front of all of us about it. Plus it's a little awkward to feel like you have to make conversation with the guide in the raft the whole time. I would'nt recommend it, but it wasn't horrible.

Awsome scenery, good food, great photos and overall great experience. Very good transportation and experienced four wheel drive guides. Would like to take the trip again.
