Not All Terrain
By Tex, 9/5/12
We booked a two-hour ATV trip for Labor Day Weekend. It was terrible! We spent 1hour and 45 minutes driving up and down a public road. The four wheelers were terrible, but the worst part was the old helmets they provided that reeked of old sweat. The "guide" never stopped to speak about any of the points of interest. The ONLY redemming aspect was the beautiful scenery. I would recommend that you stop off at the shack they use to collect/steal your money at and grab a map if you want to see the scenery. Don't pay for the trip up and down a public gravel road on their junk four wheelers!

READ FULL REVIEW! DON'T WASTE TIME OR MONEY!
By RV family, 6/16/12
FIRST FAMILY TRIP TO COLORADO - MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT WITH RIVER TOUR ON LOWER ANIMAS. The young kids running this business don't care about customers and it is definately not worth the money. We originally booked a full day tour, they lost our reservation and said all day tours were no longer available. So we had all day plans and no one that manages this business was planning on notifying our family? Thank God we checked on our reservation! So we changed it to a half day tour and learned very quickly tht the 4 hour tour is only about 2 hrs on the river. Between the unnessesary stops and our "snack" which entailed siting on the side of the river for an hour eating a muffin and a water while the lead tour guide kept telling us to come to a pavilion instead of enjoying the river? I did not pay to sit at a local park pavilion! In addition, we received a rookie who did not know the river, we got stuck over half the time and the lead guide only cared about himself and getting the lightest and easiest boat (Tyler?). The photo is also a joke - they take about 40 consecutive pictures of ONE CLASS 3 area (if you call it that) and they don't get your whole family in the picture. Complete disappointment. When returning back to town and expressing our concerns, again the employees could care less. They did not even have anyone in management for us to speak to. From what I heard in Durango Wild to Mild is a much better bet, wish my family would have known that prior Do your homework first and avoid this place. Disappointed Texas Family :(

OUTLAW TOURS SNOWMOBILE 4 HOUR TOUR - PHENOMINAL!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/7/10
Everything was perfect. Guides and owner very courteous and knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Great and fun time. We will try it again on next winter visit in the Durango area. Each person with Outlaw tours was perfect. We are close to being senior citizens and loved every minute of the tour. Worth every dollar we paid for the trip. Recommend Outlaw Tours on any snowmobile excursion.

snowmobile adventure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/09
Nov 23, 2009 Our family was in Durango for the Thanksgiving Holiday and chose to do a jeep tour and snowmobile tour with Outlaw Tours. Both tours were exceptional. Our jeep tour took us into Ouray, Co. with trip up the stairway to heaven, it was awesome. Our Snowmobile tour took on the old road to Silverton called the Lime Creek Trail, even though the snow was minimal we had great time in feild full of powder.

outlaw tours
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/3/09
Have agreat time in Durango, Co. Only negative experience was a Mesa Verde tour done by Outlaw Tours. They picked us up in a snowstorm, without ever checking the weather or whether Mesa Verde was even opened. Five miles and fortyfive minutes later our quide turned back after the snow kept freezing to his windshield, calling the road too treacherous. Keith, the apparent owner wouldn't refund any of our fee, and hung up on me while I was discussing it with him. Real class act.

The Best Jeep tour!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/8/09
We had a phenomenal time with Outlaw Tours. The guides were very knowledgeable and professional. We LOVED the scenery and feel that we definitely got the best price in town. We would recommend Outlaw Tours to anyone looking to visit Durango for a Rafting or Jeep Tour. Thank you!

Simply the BEST*****
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/6/09
I met Keith Harper 4 years ago when I booked a trip then canceld it when diagnosed with Breast cancer. I called back 2 months later and said I am coming to Colorado if I have to walk! He put me in a raft and sent me down the river (I am terrified of water) I had a ball. Best time ever. His guide took us on a Real Military Hummer and it was a blast. He got me the best seats on the train. I have been coming back every year to OUTLAW tours for 5 years now and they make my trip to the most beautiful place on earth a FANTASTIC trip everytime. He is great in accomidating people with disabailities as well, my son is Autistic and they are very accomodating. You won't be disapointed, call today and get away to Durango and tell Keith, Amy sent you.

Best Hummer Tour
We used Outlaw tours last summer when we were visiting Durango. We loved our Hummer Tour! The older gentlemen who was our tour guide was great. He took us into La Plata Canyon where it is very beautiful and scenic. Overall we had a great trip and the guides were awsome. Thanks Outlaw Tours

An Amazing Vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/1/08
My family and friends just got back from rafting down the Animas river with Outlaw Tours. The scenery was amazing and the river was very exciting. We also took a Hummer tour with Outlaw and we loved that as well. We went to Animas Forks in Silverton and got to see lots of historical places. What a great adventure. The guides were all very nice and we would recommend them to anyone.

ATV Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/3/07
When we made our ATV reservations we were told that we would going to La Plata Canyon. When we arrived our trip was changed to Missionary Ridge. La Plata Canyon is a very scenic area and we were looking forward to many Kodak moments. At one time Missionary Ridge must have been a nice area but since the big fire there isn't much left in the area for Kodak moments. Our guide was a nice young man but really couldn't explain why we were not going to La Plata Canyon. The ATVs were fun and we did get some good photos of dead trees. After returning from the trip we did a little investigating on our own and found that Outlaw Tours had been asked not to provide trips in the La Plata Canyon area by the La Plata County Sherifs Department due to numerous complaints. After doing a little research on the internet we found that Outlaw Tours had their Colorado Public Utilities Commission permit revoked in 2004 for failure to keep a Certificate of Insurance on file with the Commission. If we had known this, we may not have made reservations.
