Butterflies Alive Flutters Back!
By ,
The live exhibit Butterflies Alive is back at the Museum! The Butterfly Pavilion is home to more than 1000 butterflies and its we were able to see them close up. This is a definite "to do" in Santa Barbara. Be sure to bring your camera. Also ask about the SB Nature Pass that gives you admission to both the Museum and its Ty Warner Sea Center over two days for one price.

Cool Frog Exhibit!
By ,
Amazing, super-cool frog exhibit, the tree frogs were the best, who knew there were so many types of frogs? There were oodles of colors and sizes of frogs, even poison dart frogs. After playing in the frog exhibit, we went outside and wandered around the creek - the kids were looking for frogs (inspired by the exhibit), as we walked through the beautiful museum grounds. The museum proved to be a wonderful experience - for my children AND for both my husband and myself.

he Natural History Museum in Santa Barbara is a great place for kids and adults. Lots of room outdoors for energetic kids to run, picnic tables along a beautiful creek for lunch or a snack and intriguing exhibit halls for everyone to learn new facts about the world. We went during the summer when the Butterfly Pavilion was open and that was just a joy to walk among hundreds of butterflies. Hidden in the hills behind the Mission, this Museum is a treausre you must find.

the Butterflies were Amazing!
By ,
My family really enjoyed the outdoor pavilion filled with thousands of live butterflies. The place is in an incredibly beautiful setting. They also run the Sea Center out on stearns wharf. A neat place to visit, too.
