Wildlife and Glaciers

This is a review of the cruise tour from Glacier Bay Lodge through Glacier Bay to Grand Pacific Glacier. We took the plane to Gustavus and stayed at Glacier Bay Lodge in the National Park. The lodge had much nicer rooms than Yosemite Lodge. Food was excellent, especially the sweet potato fries. We were there the end of the season, so they were out of white wine. The evening kayak paddle was two hours around the bay near the lodge. Excellent guide and lots of wildlife. The glacier Bay cruise was one of the best National Park experiences we have had. Breakfast and lunch were included. Food was average. The crew and on board ranger were excellent. They answered every question. Finding wildlife was what they do best. We saw black bears, grizzly bear and cubs, humpback whales, eagles, otter and wolves. Getting really close to a glacier and hearing the popping and watching it calve was amazing. Well worth the time and money.
