I LOVE Brown Deer Park! I live across the street (to the north) and try to walk there daily. If you go in the early morning, you'll find lots of walkers. It is a gorgeous plot of land with an established golf course, lovely pond and boat house, places to sit and relax and even practice your frisbee golf! I always feel safe there because there is so much activity and the top notch golf course only adds to the constant upkeep and sheriff patrols in the park (always a good thing!). I find the area around Brown Deer Park to be comprised of small, individual neighborhoods of well kept homes all within 1 mile of the very exclusive village of River Hills where 5 acre lots with mansions are the norm.
Well i live basically right across the street from this park. My friend and I like to go over and ride our bikes around on the trails and on the roads. We also walk over and play tennis. The tennis courts need a little work but it is still fun to just goof around. Everybody that i have encountered there are nice and friendly. I like the little pod in the middle, it is home to many different kinds of birds that i have never seen. One day we saw a cran eating a fish he had caught. When i am over there i feel safe even though the neighborhood around and where i live is not the best. People can just hang out here and talk. I like this park alot!!!!
