we wish we had this in in vegas!!!!! its great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/28/11
i wish everone would see how great this zoo is. we now live in Las vegas were they have dogs at theier zoo along with birds. you may pay a little more at this zoo, but it is worth it. just think about how much it costs for them to feed these animals. for all the people complaning, they have no idea how much money and effort it takes to run a zoo. i will always come back to Milwaukee zoo, its the best.

disappointing
By NJC Service, 4/17/09
No lions tigers or bears! Spent $50.00 for my 6 year old grandson and I just for parking, entrance fries 1 burger and 1 order of chicken strips! The childrens farm area didn't have the goats or donkey. Did see 1 sleeping gorrilla. The fish and the bats are good. Mostly empty areas and closed up eateries. All schools were off today for spring break in mid april! Many people were there too.

Great Time for Kids!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/1/08
We loved the zoo--it had all the animals a zoo should have: elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhino, lions--okay you get the point. The kids loved feeding the giraffes and riding on the glider. Another fun thing for them was riding the camel.

Zoo of the Year!
By Arbee, 4/15/08
I loved the place! In particular, I loved the penguins, the elephant, and the lion. It was a bad day to visit as it was a free entrance day but that did not discount the fact that seeing these animals was just amazing.

We went on a free day
It was nice because it was a free day, just had to pay for parking. Overall, I was kind of disappointed with the zoo. The park was very dirty, trash, cans, branchs, dead leaves everywhere. We ate lunch in the little cafe there. WOW.....very very overpriced, won't be doing that again. And the food was pretty rancid. The bathrooms were flithy. The animal exhibits are very spaced out, you do alot of walking inbetween animals, so little kids get tired quickly. I probably wouldn't be visiting this zoo again, once was enough for me.

Up close & personal
By Shibi, 8/19/06
I loved the fact that u could get exteemely close to the big cats. There is only a window between u and the cats, its amazing! I personally was able to see every animal there, i recommend starting w/the birds and working your way around.

Cost too much
By Amy, 1/24/06
We have a membership for the zoo. My husband and I take the kids to the zoo about 16 times a year. We go that often for the special events, holidays, night lights, nights in summer. We also buy the membership so that we can get into over 200 other zoos for free or reduced $. If I had to pay full price for my family I would never go. It just cost too much and the animals can be hard to see.

It's a jungle out there
Milwaukee County Zoo has been in existance for over fourty years, which is also true of myself. I can speak from experience that educational, entertainment, and recreational oppertunities abound within the park. Imagine the smiles, the anticipation, and the wows generated along the wide walkways among the natural outdoor animal habitat displays. The sound of the miniature steam engine pierces the air from within the forest just before it emerges and passes over the bridge, with friendly crowds waving to and from the many passenger cars. Many of the buildings are new or updated, but the essence and feel is uniquely timeless. Bring your family, a date, or a friend along for a leisurely stroll and perhaps lunch along the way. Come on, take a walk on the wild side.

Great zoo!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/05
The only problem with this zoo is that it is too large to see everything in one day. There are things scheduled that are far away from each other so that it is difficult to get from one to the other in time - especially without getting lost. Even with a map I got lost a number of times. The kids loved the day there! The animals are in great condition. We still miss Samson!
