Francis Land House, Virginia Beach

I toured three historical homes and this one is by far my favorite. However I was disappointed that so much of the original home was unavailable to us because of renovations done by previous owners. The period tour guide was very knowledgable. She described, in detail, the life of the Land families, how they lived, struggled, worked, and played. When she was describing the dances they might have had, you could "feel and hear the music", you "felt" the times. The minimal cost to tour the house and property is well worth it. I would love to go back, spend more time, and will do more research on line on that period in VA and then have more questions for them.
